I received a copy of this book from the publisher , Hatchette.
I haven’t read any other books by Monica Wood , this fact surprises me. I will certainly investigate and check out her other books.
The One In A Million Boy is a story which weaves, it weaves through the life of one fascinating sounding older lady, Ona Vitkus. Ona’s life isn’t dramatic, unrealistic but rather ordinary and changes when she comes into contact with one young boy. This unusual young boy changes the fabric of her existence, something she never saw coming at the grand old age of 104.
I enjoyed the whole novel and looked forward to my reading time at the end of the day. I loved the way the characters grew in my mind as I read further into the tale. The characters will stay with me for a long time.
I would certainly recommend this book and I look forward to knowing when a friend has read it so I can talk about it in some depth.
Thank you for this review. I’ve added it to my very long TBR list. Maybe we’ll even get to talk about it together one day!
